Brazilian Fundamentalist Baptist Mission
Fourth Report of Trip to India
1. Bible Correspondence Course - This is a ministry that has had a very positive result here in India. Through it hundreds of people have been reached, including those who for some reason can not go to church. During the graduation and today we participate, it was wonderful to hear some testimonies from people who knew Jesus through this course and also how a student can lead others to do the same studies.
2. BAPTIST CHURCH IN BANGALORE - As in most churches in India, women are separated from men and all sit on the floor on top of mats during the service. At the time of the offer, all without exception raised after the men go on line and taking their money. Contemporary music of the West has invaded many churches in India. However, some still use the music in traditional Indian style.
3. Bible College - The other side of India is one where we find excellent Bible schools with much larger structures that Regular Baptist seminaries in Brazil - several had 300 or more students, especially the northeastern region of India (Manipur and Nagaland). Teachers usually have a doctorate or master's degree. The question is: where is that thousands of students trained in these schools are going? It seems that most of the graduates are not receiving encouragement from their churches of origin to go to the mission field. They end up coming home or just looking for a job without any much purpose in life. We pray that God will place in their hearts the love for the unreached and to awaken churches to help them in their livelihood.
4. ORPHANAGES - This area is home to 15 children, all very happy for living in a Christian home. Despite the difficulties they go through living in a poor country, in eternity they will have a wonderful heavenly home. Praise God!
5. SOUTH REGION OF INDIA - Here we find the cities where there was a very obvious distinction between the poor side and rich side. Here in this sector which is a complex of Information Technology. It looked like a city within another city. A truly amazing place for those who want to work in the field of computers.
7. TRIVANDRUM - A coastal town, here we saw the Indian Ocean that is as blue as our Atlantic Ocean. In cities like this we find true palaces, which are often government agencies. Construction huge and everywhere are erected statues for people who excel in political and social.
6. Muslim shrines - larger or smaller are spread all over India and we can hear daily prayers at scheduled appointments during the day and night. Like a lament. And indeed it is very sad because we know that they are putting hope in someone who can not do anything for them.
8. HARVEST TIME - Now is the time of harvest in the fields of India. Many laborers are working hard to not lose the precious grain that will serve the food in their homes.
9. SEARA is great but the laborers are few - the souls are thirsty. There have been many converts in those days. Only during this trip, we saw hundreds of people stood to accept Christ. It is time to harvest the fields of the Lord.
10. FULL SERVICE - A team of doctors, dentists, ophthalmologists, pharmacists, nurses and evangelists, came from the United States for a week of service to the people of Vijaywauada, Andra-Pradesh. Were makeshift offices for doctors, who carried out some tests, eye care where people have already left with the glasses ready, dental treatment and medicines prescribed by doctors. 11. GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE THE LORD - We had a great opportunity to have direct contact with the Indian people. Being able to learn some words in the Telegu language that is spoken in the state of Andra-Pradesh. As people waited in line, Jefferson spoke of the verse John 3:6 in Telegu he memorized and people clapped up to see him try to communicate in the language of the people: "Devudu Lokamunu Yentho Preminchenu Kaga Ayana Tana Yadivithya Kumariniga Putina Vani Yandu Wisuasa Munch Prativadanu Nasimpaka Nythia Jeevamu Pondunatly Ayananu Anugrainchenu". 12. EVANGELISTIC PREACHING - Each person attended these clinics had a time marked with the evangelists who delivered a special dose of the Gospel. Also at night was held an evangelistic service and hundreds accepted the healing that the Lord Jesus can give to their spiritual life.
13. Physical and spiritual healing - Baptist church in Eluru, the nearby town of Vijaywauda, we met a family that 5 years ago came to ask for prayer for healing of his son because the doctors said there was no hope for him. The father heard the Gospel accepted Christ as his only Savior, went home and broke all the idols. The boy was healed and now the family is faithfully serving the Lord. No emphasis has been placed on miracles and wonderful cures, but the Lord's power has not diminished and sometimes He has demonstrated his power dramatically.

14. VISION 2020 ASIA - After traveling to 10 states in India, from north to south, after visiting more than 25 workshops and about 20 Baptist churches, and after several more meetings with pastors and missionaries in India it is time to say goodbye of Pr JAMES STARR, who went on to Myammar, formerly Burma. He is the Founder of Visão2020Ásia you want until the year 2020 to reach all 2191 groups still unreached by the Gospel in India. The task is immense and can only be performed when there is a joint effort of those who love the truth and have a heart sensitive to God's work.
Gratitude - We praise God for the privilege we had to do this trip by his care in each flight, and for our health so far. Thank you for your prayers and help of every brother and all the churches that have supported us. We are overflowing with so many blessings. Our many thanks to all, God bless you and keep praying for us. Our last week will be in Hyderabad on 14 and depart for Delhi where we will take the plane back home on December 15. We're dying to miss our children, and brethren. And the pepper comidinha without our beloved homeland - Brazil Missonary MBBF Pastor Jefferson Quevedo Smith and Irmgard Meyer
