Second Report of Trip to India
Today there are many missionaries and pastors doing a wonderful job to reach the lost. They risk their lives every day because it is a region where the Nagah people are always in the midst of conflicts, struggling to conquer territory and by attacking, killing, and taking hostages for money and power. This next picture shows more than 34 village pastors who live in the mountains of Ulkhrul. Some of them travel hours and hours to do the evangelistic work in places that you can not even get to by bicycle.
1. SILIGURI - West Bengal This is the land that VISION2020-ASIA bought for the construction of the Institute of Linguistics. The goal of this institute is to train pastors and missionaries who will work among the unreached peoples mainly in northern India and neighboring countries like Nepal, China (Tibet), Bhutan, Bangladesh and Myammar. It is a big challenge, but we trust that God will provide the resources needed by those who have the heart to the Lord's work.
2. ULKHRUL (many trees, so ... CURITIBA) We were greeted at the entrance to the city with great honor and hospitality. This place was the gateway to the gospel for the whole of Northeast India. The state of Manipur was opened to the gospel by Dr. William Pedigrew who worked among the “head hunters.” This servant of God gave his life to serve those people and the fruits of his labor are still being harvested.
Pastor Jim Starr preached and after the altar call, about 20 people came forward to accept Jesus Christ as personal Savior and 30 others rededicated their lives; India is the white field to harvest TODAY! We do not have much time, because Satan is trying to hinder the work of God in every way; Pray that this crowd of young people grows in knowledge of the Word of God and spreads throughout the country taking the good news to those multitudes who are still living in darkness.
Also in Silchar, we went to the outskirts of the city and visited two schools with over 700 students in each of them directed by men of God. These students are the children of Christians, Hindus and Muslims. How are they are studying in a school with a principal and teachers who are believers? It is the miracle of God from the east side of Inda. The future pastors and missionaries face the challenge of a great task: to evangelize more than one billion people. Next to these schools we found a hospital run by an Christian Indian doctor. A lifetime dedicated to caring for patients and pregnant women, with few financial resources and unreliable instruments.
Based on all that we've seen this side of India, we have great confidence that the Lord is calling us to participate in this work; Our fundamentalist Baptist churches need to take this opportunity to get involved in this ministry by helping our Indian brothers to prepare for reaching the unreached in India.

In fact many are only nominal and there are already many Pentecostal churches here. But still, it's amazing the number of young people and children in these churches. This next picture is one of the Baptist churches, and the Sunday School. There were over 200 children and about 300 youth and adults.

4. Silchar - Assam We visited the Baptist Bible College of North East India where 70 students are studying, and this day was a special program for the university students in the city. It's amazing for us Brazilians, but 200 students, future engineers, pharmacists, nurses, chemists and others, came only to hear the challenge of the Word of God.
