claudineiperiles@ig.com.br Claudinei and his wife Eleneil surrendered their lives to Christ through the ministry of Maranatha Baptist Church in Marilandia do Sul, PR. They live in a neighboring city called Maua da Serra. Soon, with the support of the Church, and with the coming of the American missionary couple George and Gloria Moore in 1999, services began in Maua da Serra with the hope of soon starting another church in the region. They registered for classes at the Southern Regular Baptist Seminary in 2002 after feeling the call of God to full-time ministry. As seminary students, they worked at Calvary Baptist Church in Pinhais, PR, and had the opportunity to lead a congregation in the neighboring city of Piraquara. They also helped Pastor Phillip Taylor and his wife Mary Ruth to plant a new church in Vila Camargo, a neighborhood in Curitiba. They worked in this church, New Life Baptist Church, for 5 years. For their first 3 years there he was a seminary student, and the last 2 years he served as assistant pastor. Since their call to the ministry, their heart's great desire was to work in missions in the Northern part of Parana, especially Maringa. They went to school for training, both in theory and in practice, for the ministry of church planting. They joined MBBF in December of 2007. They raised their personal support and arrived in Maringa in May of 2008. They met a family that came from a Regular Baptist Church in Joao Pessoa, PB, and they joined with them to have bible studies and to hold services. Claudinei and Eleneil have two children: Abner Lucas and Fernanda.
Pictures of the Work
Church In the month of May, we completed two years of existence and, on the 29th and 30th, we held a conference for our 2nd anniversary. The speaker was Pr. Jair Ribeiro from the Baptist Church in Atuba, Curitiba. On the 29th, some sister churches here in the north from Paraná came to participate with us along with some people from the New Hope Baptist Church, Curitiba. Salvation We had previously asked for prayer for the salvation of Lucio and the Lord answered our prayers. Last month, after hearing an evangelistic message, he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Continue to pray for his spiritual growth as well as the spiritual growth of his family because they are already facing many challenges. Men’s Meeting On June 3rd, we held our second meeting of the Regular Baptist Men’s Group of North Paraná. All of the churches in the region were represented. The meeting was held in the Apucarana Church. It was a great blessing! Missions On July 4th, Fátima Virgilio was with us to present her ministry. She works in São Paulo but, in September she will come to north Paraná to help Pr. João da Silva in the Regular Baptist Church in Apucarana Construction – Project Identification Sign Our goal now is to put a project identification sign on our church, but for that, we will update the building plans in accordance with city government regulations. Pray for this because we will need resources. In Christ’s love, pr. Claudinei e família. (Updated on 07.15.10)
1. That new homes may be open to the gospel. Especially Dejair, Priscilla, and daughters, a family that we are in contact with. Also pray for our neighbors. 2. Faithfulness of brothers in attending services, tithes, missions and reading the word of God. 3. Resources to update the building plans. 4. Wisdom in ministry and my family.
