Vacation Bible School in Apucarana I want to thank God forthe great VBS in Apucarana which was held on June 23 and July 24 with about 25 children that the Lord brought us every day. I'm sure the Lord brought to us the ones that He wanted. In this activity, eight children have made decisions to accept Christ as Savior. Pray for them and their families. It is our prayer that Pastor João da Silva will be able to reach their families in time that remains. I thank God for His goodness and love as He has shown His tender mercies in my life, and for each of the brothers who has prayed and financially supported this ministry! Sincerely in Christ, Fatima (Updated 07.27.10)
I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ on July 27, 1995 through my sister Inez that had invited me to attend the services of a Baptist church. I later moved to a distant neighborhood and no longer attended the church of wich she was member. I received an invitation to visit a Baptist church that was being started in my neighborhood. It was such a surprise, because it was everything that I needed. Pastor Nathan Fray gave the invitation on this occasion. The next day I went to that congregation that had a little to offer in terms of comfort, but the main reason I went was because the Word of God was being taught there. After one year I was baptized and soon after felt the call of God for my life, I consecrated my life to the Lord in a visit to seminary students’ day in SBRS. And in 1999 I went to the IBM seminary in Marilandia do Sul. I concluded my studies after 3 years. I have a degree in Theology for Missions and during those years, I have improved my studies through a course at Apec and at the University where I am concluding my studies in Pedagogy. When Pastor Nathan came back to Brazil, he invited me to work as a missionary on a team aiding in the implantation of churches in the south of São Paulo. I worked for 4 years at the Baptist Church of Jardim Mirna and, at the moment, I am at the Baptist church in Moraes Prado. I have been on this team with the Pastor Nathan for 6 years. My goal is to remain in the will of God for my life.
