We want to thank you for your support in prayer and for the offerings that we have received. May the Lord reward you for your investment in missions. We would especially like to thank the churches that have given us the opportunity to speak about this ministry. As of the beginning of this year, we have visited 20 churches speaking at some conferences, preaching and sharing our experiences during the two months that we spent in India. We also had the privilege to speak at the Regular Baptist Seminary of Sao Paulo, Hope Baptist Seminary and Curitiba. On June 30, 2010 we spoke to more than 1,000 women at SAIBRES. Now, in the months of July and September, I will be visiting churches in Rondônia, Acre, Amazonas, Roraima, Goiás, Minas Gerais and São Paulo. Épi is working at the hospital in Curitiba this year and so will not be able to accompany me on all my trips. We thank God for the fact that we are always receiving news from the brothers and missionaries that we know in India. We will soon be sharing more details of their ministry with you. Our Kids We are certainly trusting God to take care of our kids. This is the hardest part of missionary work. We cannot simply decide to take them with us. They are in the middle of their studies and, than God, are very involved in the church of which we are members. We thank God for the care that the First Regular Baptist Church in Curitiba has shown toward us, especially toward our kids. We ask that you continue to pray to God for us and for the people of India. In the love of Christ, Pastor Jefferson and Epi (Last Updated 01/06/10)
" Being in the way, the LORD led me..." Gen. 24:27 When I graduated from the Seminary (1987), I went to pastor the Regular Baptist Congregation in S. J. dos Pinhais (PR). God, continuing with His plan, called us to Acre. We had a very good experience there at Emmanuel Regular Baptist Church in Rio Branco. We have prayed a lot for India - a nation so needy for the Gospel, greatly populated and with such a small percentage of Christians that it's impressive. I am persuaded that we can do something for the people of India. We can definitely pray and continue always in prayer that the Lord would raise up more laborers for that great country. However, we are giving ourselves to God to be a part of His answer to prayers. We are planning to visit this country, and by the grace of God, start a project to become missionaries there. Many things need to happen so that we can finally go: We need to turn over the work in Maua da Serra to a new pastor before we leave. We need the resources for the trip, which will last for at least two months so that we can get to know the field, and, then have the orientation from God about what we should do there. We need the approval of our mission (MBBF) after we present our project. We need to raise support from churches - It will be an opportunity to share with our brothers and sisters about that need and how the Regular Baptist Churches can raise their eyes beyond our borders. We have given our lives over to go wherever God sends us. PRAY FOR US AND PRAY FOR INDIA.
