REQUIREMENTS FOR MISSIONARY CANDIDATES To be a missionary with MBBF, it is necessary to fulfill a few requirements: 1. Have finished at least a 3-year degree in a Theological course at an Institution recognized and approved by the board. 2. Answer the Application questionnaire of MBBF (see below) , and return it in electronic format (a CD or email) and also return a paper copy, within 30 days prior to your examination before the Board. If you are married, your wife should also attach her testimony of conversion and her call to the mission field. She does not need to feel out an application because we assume that the convictions declared on the husband's application are shared by the couple. If the couple differs on a certain item, this should be explained on the application by the appropriate item. 3. Be sent by their church to a specific field determined by that church. MBBF can act in all regions of Brazil and in any country. It is the local church in conjunction with the missionary that determines the field. 4. The local church needs to send a letter of recommendation to MBBF for them to join, together with a copy of the minutes of the church business meeting in which the church decided to send them to the mission field. 5. Be ordained to the Ministry of the Word of God by the local church (for male candidates). 6. Appear (if married, both husband and wife) before the board of MBBF at a date determined by the administration of the mission board, to be examined with respect to doctrinal convictions and the call to the mission field in question. You will only be authorized to use the name of MBBF in your presentations, communications, letters, and support raising after you have been approved by the board.
